Buzz buzz busy bee z z z z z

Well where do I start, apart frm my wisdom teeth which is STILL hurting it has been an exciting and busy week. The painting above is one of my good friend Philipa Stanton. I mentioned a while back here about her amazing ability to see colours when she hears voices. So on Monday night I went to her private view exhibition called Persona. I strongly recommend you going to see it. Its an exhibition that she has collabotated with the photographer Cambridge Jones where Philipa has painted the voices of various famous people and Cambridge has photographed them. It is held at the Theatre Royal in Brighton, so a perfect setting for beautiful work. Go and see it while the Brighton Festival is on, go on......!

So as I mentioned I am doing an open house for the festival again, and I need to sew sew sew. My sewing machine broke a needle yesterday just as I was in full flow - How dare it!!!!!!

The pic a bove is of my boys in Perth, we had a day there as we flew out very early the next morning. Amazing place. And below are my very proud parents with there little grand daughter. They arrived back this week and I know they are going to so miss little Rose. Tear, tear :(

Teething, panicking and wishing.....

Thankyou for your wisdom on my teething problems. I had an awful painful weekend, visited my very good dentist this morning only to be told that yep, I am teething, its all going through fine and I am going to have to grin and bare it! OOOOOHHHHHH! - I keep telling myself that I have had 3 days of pain, it has to get better.

Well not only do I have that to chew over, I have come back from a wonderful trip to Aus and facing just 2 weeks before the Brighton Open House festival begins! Yep as usual I have left it to the last minute and I need to sew, sew sew. So, panic stations!!!!!!!!

It will be done........

The pics above are of a crustation called marin, bred in the local dams where my sister lives on the farm. We all went out fishing, took them home and cooked them. Such a beautiful colour when cooked. They tasted a bit muddy but quite nice.

Oh how I wish to be there...................

The wedding!

Rose in her dress!

The very handsome family!

I wont bore you with all the wedding details, but it was so lovely! Not only did we celebrate a momentous occasion but I also got to meet my first and only niece! Just befor christmas my sister gave birth (not that it shows!) to a beautiful little girl Rose and I adore her. I am at last an aunty even if it will be long distance one, I intend to fulfill those aunty duties! Oh what fun.

The very colouful photo above was taken the night befor the wedding, when my two sisters and I and one of her bridesmaids went up to the hill where they were to marry, drank champagne and practiced the walk down a red carpeted aisle! It was a tearful but as you can see a fun evening!

I will post more Aussie pics soon..............

By the way, I am nursing a very painful wisdom tooth, any tips?

Can you tell where I have been?

Iam back!
And what an adventure my family I and have been on, have you guessed yet as to the location.......?
Well, my blood rushed to my head............
any more clues?......
AUSTRALIA!

The main reason for going was that my little sister went travelling 2 years ago, met a farmer, fell in love, had a beautiful baby girl and as you can guess from the pic above, married him!

It was the most beautiful and moving wedding I have ever been to, up on a hill overlooking their farm near the spot where he proposed to her!

Yep, romance is alive.

I will post more pics over the next few days, I am still very tired, jet lagged and can't quite believe taht it has all happened.
