Making your own pet at Nymans

Polar Bear

Due to the success of my Needle Felting workshops at Nymans Gardens National Trust, I will be holding a 2 day workshop on the 1st and 2nd of May.
Nymans has the most beautiful garden which you will be able explore too.

Patch

The workshop will show you the basics of needle felting and then using those skills I will teach the students how to make irresistible animals like Patch above!

Blue Tit Wings

Its very addictive this needle felting, I love the way from just a few blobs of wool you can shape, tweak, add and manipulate sweet creatures that melt your heart.

Mildred

The first day will start off with a nice cup of tea and a slice of yummy cake as we all get to know each other, I will then explain and show how needle felting works. We will then go on to learn the basics of how to make an animal. The next day you will be able to decide on your own animal you wish to make and through my guidance you will go home happy and content with your own pet!

So if you fancy having a go and creating your own Patch or Mildred, come along, there are still a few spaces left, just click on the link Textile Workshops in the Event page and book a slot!

Let me know if any of you are coming or if you would be interested in future events!

Spring evening walk in the woods.

Last evening we had a spontaneous walk in our local woods.

And what a treat it was, every where you looked nature was bursting into spring!

Leaves were beautifully fresh and green....

...the evening setting sun gave a warm glow to what was a very cold walk even after our mini heatwave!

This is the first time I have seen wild violets in the woods, such a delicate shade of blue and purple.

So much life was bursting to get out and shout to the world ''Im alive!"

We discovered a little more of the woods that we hadn't ventured into before, finding unusual sights ....

...like a 'Nude Tree Art' trail!

A rather fetching lady!

i rather liken the Lichen around here too!

So many types in such a small space, a world of its own!

Who lives here I wonder?

Ooo, a naked man!
(no, not living in the burrows! Nude Tree Art!!)

As we come back out of the woods you are greeted by one of my favourite views, Firle Beacon.
Splendid!

With the light fading, it was back up the hill....

...pass the cottages and homeward bound.

Have a gorgeous Easter weekend and eat lots of Hot cross Buns and chocolate eggs!
