I have an addiction, its out of control!

YES, Its a bad addiction and it has gone out of control.
How many of us have this problem, come on stand up and admit it!

I was commissioned to make a lovely pair of buntings with children's names on when I discovered I had a problem.....

This lovely trunk was apparently full of lovely fabric, but could i find it amongst this chaos?

It was no good, it was time to turn a corner and own up to this mess......

How do you tackle such a mountain of craziness?.....

I decided to go through the lot, scraping any rubbish and bagging up bits for my sons school.... (3 bags I hasten to add!)

Then sort it into colours, patterns and size.....
Then IRON the lot!

Yes! IRON! Its amazing the iron, it flattens and smooths out creases!

There, its all put back, nice and neat, neat and tidy......

....Will it last? Hmmm.......
Now to tackle the mountain in the under stairs cupboard!

Me too! 'My name is Alix and I'm a fabricaholic...' I need to do this job too!
I know the feeling, it took me nearly two hours to tidy up my office yesterday and I only have half of the room. Now I have to remember where I put everything. Mine is not so much material (although I do have stashes of that as well) but ephemera does that count? Am I a paper addict?

I love seeing some of those bits of fabric...reminds me of another life, and my granny would also be very pleased some of her textiles have gone to a good home!!!
(...and, yes the Pick Your Own is the Angmering one!!)

I am so impressed! The thought of sorting would have come to me but the ironing!
Oh I really would need you to come here and sort mine out! I keep putting it off.

Wow, that must have been so satisfying!
That was SO satisfying to follow those photos through, like magic they all appeared in beautiful little piles! Yes, definitely tackle the under stairs cupboard stash, but do take photos, it will be pure joy to watch the order come out of all that chaos! Love Vanessa xxx
