Needle felting dog workshop in Petworth, Sussex.

A couple of weeks ago I had the great pleasure of teaching some lovely (and talented) ladies how to needle felt dogs.

Charlotte the owner of The Cotton Wool Store kindly organised it all for me, she made us all feel so welcome in the beautifully decorated Leconfield Hall situated in the Market Square in Petworth, Sussex.

My students were amazing as usual and very talented, creating some fine and very handsome pouches.

I tend to teach the same dog (little Patch) as its a basic all rounder to learn and to then go on and create various animals in needle felting.
What I love about this kind of workshop is how they then evolve towards the end, each little dog becoming a unique and memorable animal.

Usually if the student owns a dog they end up going home with a miniature version, totally adorable!

As you can see, deep concentration was needed!

At the end of every workshop I like to get a line up of the dogs and let everyone take a snap, its such a rewarding moment!

Perfect pouches!

If you have been desperate to make one I am holding another workshop in Petworth on 4th July.
Take a peek over at Charlottes page for all the details and if you are ever in Petworth I recommend you pop into The Cotton Wool Store, its an Aladdin's cave of the most gorgeous fabrics, ribbons and anything crafty, you wont leave empty handed!
