A mini break in Cornwall
At the beginning of the boys holiday we were lucky enough to join the lovely Philippa Stanton of the @5ftinf fame and her son for a few days down in Cornwall.
So with a hop skip and a jump (a long train journey infact!) we were greeted at the end of the line in Penzance by the chirpy Phil!
Spending time here was a real treat, the views from the cottage were breathtaking!
The beaches were perfect for body boarding and hours were spent beach combing for shells, wood and unusual pebbles, so many types of seaweed in one small area too.
Philippa was in her element creating her beautiful table top scenes!
I loved the shapes of the rocks too, do you see the whale?
We of course had to complete the walk over to St Michael's Mount whilst the tide was out, quite strange as we joined the like minded pilgrims across the well trodden blocks.
Now of course it would have been rude not to partake in other Cornish traditions!
One of the days we loaded our back packs with rain coats, bags of change and set of to walk to Penzance along the beach. A few showers didn't deter us, especially when one of the party was well dressed in her vintage Quant mac!
Such beautiful light, with clouds reflecting on the damp beach!
Once we had had a good old fashioned Fish 'n' Chip lunch we headed to the arcade with our coppers!
Oh my goodness, lets just say we were lucky to get out of there, we were like crazy wild possessed gamblers ! (It was a giggle though!)
A great time was had by all and what a stunning area of Cornwall it is indeed, we shall definitely be returning soon!
