Spring blossom - DIY project

If like me you can't wait for the Spring blossom, why not make your own and have a bit of fun at the same time.

This project is such a simple one that if you lack any sewing skills you can't go wrong.
Ideal little embellishments that can be added to outfits and hair slides, anything you can think of!

You Will Need
Scolloped velvet ribbon
Matching thread and needle
Pearlised beads

Cut a length of ribbon that has 5 full scollops and a half either end.

Tie a knot at the end of the thread and sew a simple running stick along the straight edge.

Pull the thread to form a flower and tack through to the back to hold into position, then sew on a bead to the front and tie off at the back, simple!

Choose some branches from the garden that are just coming into bud, I've cut some beautiful Hazel from my garden, then attach the little flowers with glue.
Instant blossom!

I obviously had a bit more fun, one of which was making a small stop motion film, enjoy!

This is so pretty! I've made cherry blossoms with tissue and put on branches, but these little ribbon flowers are so sweet and springlike!
