Fat Quarter Book Review & GIVEAWAY!
Having spent years writing and making tutorials for Making Magazine and hoping to write a book myself soon (of the needle felting variety!) I am always excited to receive exciting post, especially when it comes to new craft books.
The lovely team at GMC Distribution Group sent me a copy each of Fat Quarter : Home and Fat Quarter : Quick Makes two books by the fabulous duo team R&B Design, a company created by designer-makers Amanda Russell and Juliet Bawden.
Each book has 25 projects to make decorative and useful items from scraps of fabric with full step-by-step instructions, tools, techniques and pretty photographs, ideal for the novice or experienced sewers.
I have been drawn to two particular projects that are definitely on my To Make List, these simple yet very useful Lavender Bag sachets that you can hang in your wardrobe and the beautiful Shoe Cleaning Kit which could be used for various storage items. Both these projects can be found in the Fat Quarter : Home book.
At a very reasonable price (£12.99) these books are a great addition to the craft section on your bookshelf although I'm sure you would have them open all the time with scraps of fabric strewn across the craft room floor but if you can't wait to get your hands on a copy the I have a copy of each up for grabs for one lucky winner!
To be in for a chance just simply let me know your best make from fabric scraps in the comments below and I will draw a winner out of my lucky top hat on Sunday 18th June at 8pm.
Good luck and do follow the book tour for more great reviews and giveaways!
