COUGH cough - I need soup!

I have been rather poorly since Friday, so apologies for lack of enthusiasm.
Samantha @ Plump Pudding put on an excellent stand at the CL fair and it was brilliant to finally meet her. She is one inspirational lady and keep an eye on her, she's going to go far!

The fair was quite interesting, being my first ever visit it was very hectic, a lot of stands were very similar and I felt that CL could have perhaps made a bit more of an effort in supporting smaller makers. The attention did seem to be on the big guys, but I suppose we all have to start somewhere. Maybe if they could take a leaf out of The Origin lot and highlight newcomers?

Cough cough, ouch very soar throat!

Anyway, I maybe busy for the next few weeks, so I will be popping in only a few times ( I will let you know more soon) but if I dont speak befor Easter, have a super time, lots of family fun and some delicious Simmnel Cake!

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well, everyone seems to be coming down with something at the moment. Did you do well at the Fair - I hope so! CL hopefully will be more supportive in the future. Our room IS usually full of boxes too! Hope you're off doing something exciting.

Hope that you are feeling better. The problem re- small craft makers is a difficult one. I've been having a rant about it over on my blog this morning.
I have personally always found CL very supportive with help and advice but they aren't a charity. You would probably also be suprised at how many established people don't actually make a profit there.

Hope you're feeling better soon, the soup looks good! Glad you enjoyed the London CL fair and got to meet Samantha, I only know her through cyber space but she is just lovely isn't she!
We exhibited at the Glasgow CL fair last week and I totally agree with you that they should be on the lookout and promoting more smaller businesses but I think they are getting there. I have a feeling the people who attend are buying less from the big fish and more from the little ones, so many of the bigger exhibitors that I've been beside haven't returned or do not intend to return next year. So maybe things are starting to improve for us little fish.....!
take care and enjoy Easter too.
